The 18th century Inn offers some of the finest bed and breakfast accommodation in Maidstone, and although not situated in the Inn itself, the bed and breakfast is conveniently located in a series of separate Kentish barn style buildings close to the main Inn. The surroundings are idyllic, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and historically significant. Situated on the Pilgrims Way the route the Pilgrims took between Winchester and Canterbury, to the shrine of Thomas Beckett and mentioned in the ‘Canterbury Tales’ by Geoffrey Chaucer. The Inn has offered food, drink and bed and breakfast for weary travellers for hundreds of years.
In addition to the bed and breakfast, the restaurant and bar are renowned throughout Kent for providing an excellent range of dishes, prepared from fresh, local produce by a brigade of talented chefs.
The restaurant menu is large and varied and can cater for those just looking for a sandwich or light lunch, a classic pub meal or indeed a full a la carte offering, washed down with a glass of wine from a local vineyard or a well-kept local real ale.

Seating up to 100 people and offering a completely private dining experience for you and your guests, the convenience of the bed and breakfast rooms means your guests can relax in the warm surroundings without a care in the world. The venue and gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for the smaller more intimate occasion. Equally the Pilgrim Suite can offer a stunning rural location for conferences and corporate events.
